Henry Skerritt, Aboriginal Art Talk

The Department of Art is pleased to host a Visiting Scholar Talk “Did Aboriginal Artists Invent Contemporary Art?” featuring Henry F. Skerritt, Curator of the Indigenous Arts of Australia, Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection of the University of Virginia. The talk is in conjunction with the exhibition Claiming Country: Western Desert Painting from the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection on view in the Charlyn Gallery until Friday, March 22.

An opening reception and refreshments for the Juried Student Show will follow from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
