Dr. Jennifer DeBruyn: Life After Death – Microbial Ecology of Human and Animal Decomposition (STEP Seminar)

Jennifer DeBruyn is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biosystems Engineering & Soil Science at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture in Knoxville. She received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada and her Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Tennessee She is a microbial ecologist studying decomposition and biodegradation processes in both agricultural and natural ecosystems.  Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, US Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Justice.
