Academic Buildings

Baldwin Hall

Baldwin Hall provides a well-rounded environment dedicated to student success. The building is home to the center for international students, the center for international education abroad and the office for community enrichment, as well as the widely-regarded Baldwin Auditorium.

Health Science Building

The Health Sciences Building is home to athletic training, nursing, communication disorders, health science and exercise science programs. Students gain hands-on experience, with state-of-the-art facilities and faculty.


Kirk Building

Kirk Building is home to Truman’s Student Success Center, as well as tutoring, academic advising, counseling services, the health center, and more. This newly refurbished facility is built to help students thrive academically, professionally and personally.

Magruder Hall

Magruder Hall is home to theSchool of Science and Mathematics, as well as various programs including Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Here, every student has access to the scientific resources they need to succeed.


McClain Hall

McClain Hall is home to the School of Social and Cultural Studies, as well as various administrative offices including financial aid and the registrar.

Ophelia Parrish

Ophelia Parrish is home to the School of Arts and Letters, as well as the arts, music and theatre programs. The building hosts spaces for all forms of creative expression, making it the perfect stage for student creativity.


Violette Hall

Violette Hall is home to the School of Business, Math, Computer Science, Accounting, Psychology and Education classes. The building features computer labs, various workspaces and one of the largest lecture halls on campus..


Campus Life

Kirksville

Kirksville is a welcoming small town where Bulldogs can enjoy shopping, good eats, and festivals year-round. Walking around downtown or spending the day at Thousand Hills State Park are two great ways to spend time with friends and family.

Truman Athletics

Athletics at Truman State University push student athletes to grow in the classroom and on the field. As an NCAA Division II competitor in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, Truman has earned numerous awards and accolades in its long history.


The Quad

The Quad is a wide-open green space in the center of campus. It is the main hub for outdoor activities, and houses the Kirk Memorial, one of the University’s most recognizable landmarks.

Pickler Memorial Library

Pickler Memorial Library is a central location for development and success, marked by Truman’s historic clock tower. It serves as a gathering grounds for research, innovation and discovery, with an in-house coffee shop and plenty of space to work.


Student Recreation Center

The RED features an indoor track, weight room and spacious gyms, making it the ideal place for hosting all kinds of activity. The space is used for working out, shooting hoops, hosting intramurals and more.

Residence Life

Each Truman residence hall provides a unique environment built on a welcoming community. This is where memories are made, community is built and college stories take off.


Student Union Building

The Student Union Building is the main source for food and fun on campus. Students can choose from multiple dining options in Mainstreet Market, take a break by the fountain or attend a campus event, all at the SUB.

University Farm

The university Farm is a 400 acre farmland featuring an observatory, astronomy research center, and green houses – all of which are solar powered. Students gain experience through direct application by caring for a variety of plants or herds of cattle and horses.
