Meet Gabrielle
I am a mother to 5 amazing and beautiful children! Three are adults, enjoying various pursuits, and 2 younger children still at home. Married to my wonderful husband for 23 years!
I moved to Kirksville after living my whole adult life in one small, Kansas town. My parents were hippies and my ancestors were Vikings, so I was naturally born with a very adventurous spirit. I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful community and look forward to the many adventures that await my time here!
I am an avid reader and researcher. I particularly enjoy studying ancient history and early civilizations. Herodotus, Plato, Pliny, and Josephus are some of my favorites. I also love to bury myself in good fiction novels, as well.

About:
I was born in California in the '70's, but moved all over the states at a young age. We finally settled in Kansas, where my mother was from. In 1995, I graduated from high school and moved to Pittsburg, Kansas, where I eventually got a Bachelor's of Science degree in Commercial Graphics. I worked for a few years in various fields before I settled in as a stay-at-home mother. After my 3rd child, I began teaching first grade at a local private classical education school, where I taught for 18 years.
Now, at Truman, my sense of adventure is restored, and my passion for helping students meet their full potential is realized. Recruiting individuals to the graduate program at such an excellent school as Truman is a dream come true.
At home, I enjoy playing pickleball with my family, having movie nights, and curling up with a good book.
