Congrats to the Truman women's soccer team on advancing in NCAA tournament play! The Bulldogs defeated No. 3 seed McKendree on Sunday to move on to the Midwest regional championship. With Hanna Burke’s sixth goal of the season, Truman improved to 15-1-4 overall. They next face top seed Grand Valley State in the regional championship game on November 18 in Allendale, Michigan.

Movie buffs on and off campus can now enjoy in-demand films online via Pickler Memorial Library until May 1! The library will participate in a trial of Swank Digital Campus, which will feature 100 of Swank’s top-requested films for academic use. Truman was once again recognized as a top producer of U.S. Fulbright students for 2015-2016 in “The Chronicle of Higher Education.” The University tied in ranking sixth nationally among master’s students with a total of four Fulbright students. Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson will perform at 7:00 on Thursday, March 17 in Baldwin Hall Auditorium. A newly released report indicates that Truman students’ first-time pass rate on the 2015 CPA exam remains among the highest nationwide. According to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), Truman’s first-time pass rate ranked 5th in the nation for medium-sized programs with 21 to 60 reported candidates. Truman’s Forensic Union won fifth place in Lincoln-Douglas Debate Sweepstakes at the 2016 National Forensic Association National Championship Tournament April 16-17. Senior Dillon Laaker was awarded ninth speaker meaning he was recognized as one of the top 10 debate speakers in the nation. One of Truman Forensics’ alumni was also given special recognition at the tournament. Students’ investing prowess earns $10,000 for Truman. Bulldog Student Investment Fund students Anthony Hill, Shane Legatzke, Michael Poindexter and Spencer Wilson participated in the thinkorswim Challenge sponsored by TD Ameritrade from Oct. 10 through Nov. 4. Prizes were awarded to the top three teams with the highest overall percentage gain in their portfolios at the close of the competition.
