The University Counseling Services at Truman State University is operated through a partnership with Complete Family Medicine, a service of Hannibal Regional - a not-for-profit health system. Our mission is to provide affordable, accessible healthcare services to all students at Truman State University. We always appreciate feedback and are excited to be here to serve you!

What services are available?

  • In-person or virtual counseling
  • Individual, relationship and group counseling sessions
  • Medication Management through the Student Health Center
  • Private rooms available for virtual sessions

How do I set up an appointment?

All students will complete our UCS Intake Form prior to being scheduled for an appointment. Our UCS support staff will review the intake information with the student to verify that all questions have been answered and then work with the student to get them scheduled with a UCS counselor for an initial appointment. Students are welcome to walk in to fill out the intake form and then schedule their appointment. For questions about our intake process or scheduling, please call UCS at 660-785-4014.

How does the billing work?

  • All services are able to be billed like a regular doctor’s office - billable through private/commercial insurance, Medicaid, or make private payments (eg - self-pay using cash, check, credit, or HSA/FSA cards).
  • Financial assistance is available to all students, including Sliding Scale (also known as Sliding Fee Scale or Sliding Scale Discount) or a Same-Day, Self-Pay discount.
  • Billed statements will be mailed to the address on file at UCS/Student Health Center (this is the address that the student gives us at the time services are being rendered, not necessarily the address on file with the Truman State University).
  • Billing statement will be from Complete Family Medicine, a service of Hannibal Regional. Any bill for services rendered at UCS or the Student Health Center will NOT appear on the student's Truman account.

If you have a questions about billing, please call UCS at 660-785-4014 or call the Complete Family Medicine at 660-665-7575
