Why did you choose Truman?

The profoundly strong liberal arts education offered at such a reasonable price is second to none. Not only do I have the opportunity to explore so many varied courses at Truman, but I can also enjoy other professional development classes outside my scope, like aviation. Truman is a beautiful campus located in the heart of Missouri, where people are always smiling and ready to lend a hand, and that’s special on its own.

What has been your favorite class?

My classes have all been intriguing, but my Critical Thinking class was outstanding. It was challenging and interesting, and we learned about concepts that applied to my day-to-day situations and activities. That class was a real eye-opener.

How has your experience at Truman changed you?

It has changed me from being an introvert to an extrovert. Because of all my interactions with peer mentors, advisors, and helpful friends in all the activities I am involved in, my time here has also shown me the importance of friends and family, and has been a stepping stone to building valuable friendships.

What advice would you give to students who are considering Truman?

Truman gives you a wide range of majors and courses to choose from, and one can never go wrong with that. There are hundreds of student organizations to choose from so you will definitely find something you like! Choose Truman, choose happiness!

I found it very relaxing to get away from the hustle and bustle of a big city and get the chance to enjoy all of the aspects of a smaller town. This town is a wonderful place to enhance your college experience.
