Why did you choose Truman?
Truman has a great reputation and affordable tuition. I was also attracted by the small-sized classes at Truman. My professors know my name and I can contact them any time to talk about issues with classes or my personal life.
What has been your favorite class so far?
I took three classes in Calculus, one Symbolic Logic class, and one Economics class. I can’t choose which is my favorite! They all helped me gain problem solving and logical thinking skills. I absolutely love learning to understand and solve the problems that we studied in these classes.
How would you describe your professors?
My professors have been nice, friendly, and helpful. When I struggle with a class, my professors are always available to help me.
What is a favorite thing about Kirksville?
Kirksville is small, safe town. Although I am a student from a foreign country, the community isn’t scary to me at all.
What is the atmosphere like for international students at Truman?
The atmosphere at Truman is warm. People here are friendly and are willing to help you whenever you need it. Also, there are plenty of organizations available to help international students to make new friends, understand new cultures, and enjoy life in America.
How would you describe your experience making friends at Truman?
Truman is a small campus, so making friends here is not difficult at all. It’s easy to meet people from all kinds of backgrounds and majors.
