Why did you choose Truman?
When I decided to study in America, I found that Truman had one of the best programs for business majors. It is highly selective and the academics are very strong here, but the professors are always willing to help!
How would you describe your professors?
My professors are ready to help me at any time. It is magnificent! I can easily come after class and ask about any doubts or concerns I might have. I also really appreciate the tutoring hours available for students. I can ask the student tutors about anything that confuses me, and they will help me to understand the material.
What is the atmosphere like for international students at Truman?
The Center for International Students (CIS) works very hard to help international students adjust to life at Truman and to make it fun. During orientation and the first few weeks of school, I made lots of friends because of all the activities hosted by the CIS.
How would you describe your experience in making friends at Truman?
I was amazed by the friendliness of everyone at Truman. The students here are very close and supportive of each other. I’ve received so much kindness from everyone I’ve met.
How has your experience at Truman changed you?
I am much more independent now. At first it was tough to imagine my life without my family and friends from home, but now I find it extremely exciting to be in America and to speak English all the time! It has been an unforgettable experience so far.
