Why did you choose Truman?

I chose Truman because I heard great things about the university from former Bahamian Bulldogs, like its high academic standards and professors who are always ready and willing to lend a helping hand.

How would you describe your professors?

The professors are extremely approachable. They want you to understand the work and have no problems giving you the extra time you need in order learn it.

What has been your favorite class so far?

I can’t pick just one! I have had several classes that I have enjoyed thus far, like Human Physiology and Exercise Physiology. I love Biology, but I also enjoyed these classes because the professor made the class both enjoyable and interesting, and also gave us hands-on lab opportunities.

What is your favorite thing about Kirksville?

The small-town setting limits distractions and allows us to focus on school work. Kirksville is so peaceful, and the people here are very curious about international students.

How has your experience at Truman changed you?

After attending school so far away from home, my level of independence has increased tremendously. I didn’t know anyone at Truman when I started my first semester here, but now I have the most amazing friends!

I found it very relaxing to get away from the hustle and bustle of a big city and get the chance to enjoy all of the aspects of a smaller town. This town is a wonderful place to enhance your college experience.
