ADMISSION AND ARTICULATION AGREEMENT
DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY (DPT) PROGRAM

Admissions and Articulation Agreement between

TRUMAN STATE UNIVERSITY

and

THE ARIZONA SCHOOL OF HEALTH SCIENCES [A School of A.T. Still University of Health Sciences]

This agreement acts as an understanding between the Arizona School of Health Sciences (ASHS), as school of A.T. Still University of Health Sciences, and Truman State University.  Effective March 21, 2013,  ASHS PT Department agrees to reserve 7 acceptances, in total, for qualified Health or Exercise Science Truman applicants per admission year for admission to the Physical Therapy Program offered in Mesa, Arizona.  Following submission, the applicant’s overall and science grade point averages will be evaluated to determine if they meet the minimum GPA requirement posted on the ATSU Physical Therapy Admissions webpage.  HES Truman applicants meeting this minimal requirement will be invited to submit a secondary application. Additionally, HES Truman applicants should submit a Letter of Intention to the Chair of the PT Department to notify the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program of their intention to be considered for admission under this articulation agreement. The Letter of Intention will act as a prompt to the Admissions Committee that the Truman applicant has met basic criteria and will be given priority consideration. A letter in Word format attached to an email is acceptable and preferred.

To be considered, Health & Exercise students from Truman State University should satisfy all ASHS admission requirements.

Truman State University HES applicants who meet the minimum admissions requirements will receive an invitation to interview.  If the applicant receives benchmark scores on his/her interview, he/she will be offered admission into the program.

If by December 1st of the annual admissions cycle there are less than seven qualified applicants from Health & Exercise Sciences at Truman State University, the seats for that cycle will be given to other qualified applicants.

This agreement will remain in effect indefinitely unless terminated by either party for any reason.  Termination must come with written notice 12 months prior to effective date of termination.
