Recognition of Significant Annual Gifts

The John R. Kirk Society honors and recognizes some of the University’s most generous contributors. As the fifth president of the University, John R. Kirk was considered an innovative educator and national leader for education excellence. Members of the Kirk Society perpetuate his commitment to education through their efforts to advance Truman State University. Established in 1981, the Kirk Society represents a welcoming and growing group of loyal and committed alumni and friends whose generous annual gifts continue to propel Truman and its increasing prestige in higher education.

Qualifying Gifts

Outright Gifts (not deferred gifts or bequests) qualify for membership in the Kirk Society. Gifts can be made by check, credit card or automatic withdrawal. Gifts of stock or other appreciated securities are welcome.

Membership

Membership in the John R. Kirk Society is based on cumulative giving during a single fiscal year. The University’s fiscal year runs from July 1-June 30.

Dean’s Level:

$25,000-$49,999

Dean’s Fellow:

$10,000-$24,999

Distinguished Professor:

$5,000-$9,999

Professor:

$2,500-$4,999

Member:

$1,000-$2,499

Corporate Levels:

President’s Level:

$50,000 & above

$25,000-$49,999
