Magruder Hall Brick Plaza
As students, visitors to campus and other members of the Truman community walk across the Magruder Hall Brick Plaza paved with engraved bricks, they are reminded how much Truman State University supporters care for the people around them and for the world.
During a campaign to raise funds for the renovation and expansion of Magruder Hall, the University’s primary science facility, donors purchased bricks and capstones engraved with the message of their choice ranging from the names of students, alumni, and mentors to meaningful quotes.
The brick campaign was a great success, and engraved bricks and capstones were placed in a Brick Plaza located outdoors on the north end of Magruder Hall with the campus Clock Tower providing the perfect backdrop. The Brick Plaza was officially unveiled during Homecoming on Oct. 22, 2005.
