Teaching interests: Contemporary and historical linguistics of Spanish, medieval literature, grammar and composition
Professor Bryant enjoys teaching all levels of Spanish language and culture in addition to more specialized courses in phonetics/phonology, historical linguistics and literature. Her current research focuses on the language and literature of thirteenth-century Spain, seeking to use current findings in sociolinguistics to shed light on the spread of linguistic features over space and time. When not pondering questions of Old Spanish, Professor Bryant enjoys spending quality time with her husband travelling and taking her spoiled dog on long walks.
