Master Sergeant (MSG) Scott A. Benge is a native of Bridgeport, Ohio. He entered the United States Army and graduated One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Sill, Oklahoma in 1995. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 13B (Cannon Crewmember).
MSG Benge’s assignments include 8th BN, 8th Field Artillery, Camp Hovey, Korea; 1st BN, 9th Field Artillery, Fort Stewart, Georgia; 2nd BN, 11th Field Artillery, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; 3rd BN, 320th Field Artillery, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Sabalauski Air Assault School, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; 3rd BN, 34th Infantry Regiment, Fort Jackson, South Carolina; 2nd BN, 32nd Field Artillery, Fort Riley, Kansas; 1st BN, 5th Field Artillery, Fort Riley, Kansas; HHC, Combat Aviation Brigade, Fort Riley, Kansas, and currently Truman State University.
MSG Benge has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. He is currently serving at Truman State University, Missouri as the Senior Military Science Instructor.

MSG Benge is a member of the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara and the Order of St. Maurice.
