BA, Sociology/Anthropology; Truman State University

Originally from Washington, Illinois, Kara Jo graduated from Truman State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Anthropology and minors in Spanish and Italian Studies. She participated in the faculty-led Costa Rica Summer Study Abroad Program to complete her Spanish minor and was actively involved in service organizations.

After graduation, she worked for the Office of Admission for 8 years, and is now employed with the University Career Center as a Career Ready Coach. She also is the head advisor for the Epsilon chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, a national co-ed service fraternity, on Truman's campus and a Board Member for Take Root Cafe on the north side of the Kirksville Square.
