My main research interest is developing a unied understanding and description of nuclear structure and nuclear reactions. Both in my PhD work where I engaged mostly in theory and partly in experiment, and my PostDoc I have had the opportunity to investigate those properties.
Non-Local Dispersive Optical Model (DOM) : The nonlocal DOM is an extension of the original optical model developed by Mahaux and Sartor. It describes and predicts the bound-state quantities such as particle number, charge density, high momenta components, the ground-state energy, as well as available experimental scattering data for positive energies. Nonlocal potentials generate different distorted waves than traditionally employed local potentials. I am therefore interested in utilizing such DOM ingredients like overlap functions and distorted waves in the analysis of transfer reactions.
Non-equilibrium Green's Function (NGF) :Non-equilibrium Green’s Function method is a powerful tool for studying the evolution of quantum many-body systems. Different types of correlations can be systematically incorporated within the formalism. The time evolution of the singleparticle Green’s functions is described in terms of the Kadano-Baym equations.
