Dr. Nate enjoys teaching all levels of Spanish language, culture, and literature in addition to specialized courses (both in the traditional classroom and online) in medical Spanish, Spanish gastronomy, and early Spanish literature and culture, (medieval, early modern, and colonial).  Her current research and field work focus on civic engagement and service learning opportunities for American students of medical Spanish in Spain, study abroad in Spain, and the literature and language of fifteenth- and sixteenth-century Spain.  Dr. Nate is co-coordinator of the Spanish discipline and advisor to the Truman Spanish Club (Club Ñ) and enjoys teaching Latin dancing and Spanish cooking lessons.
