Truman State University Department of Music is pleased to announce its annual Honor Band Day. High school students from Missouri and several other states visit campus to participate in a day-long musical experience culminating in a combined performance with Truman’s Wind Symphony I. Saturday’s concerts, in Ophelia Parrish Performance Hall, are free and open to the public. Concerts for the day include a Wind Symphony II performance at 1:00 p.m. and the evening showcase concert featuring Wind Symphony I and the Truman Honor Band will be at 7:00 p.m. featuring selections from
Wicked and
West Side Story and feature performances by Dr. Eric Dickson on trumpet and Dr. Jay Bulen on trombone
