“Seussical” theatre production

TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences Version) performed by Truman State University Theatre Department. Now one of the most-performed shows in America, Seussical™ takes the audience into the world of Dr. Seuss as they revisit beloved characters including The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and JoJo. The musical, by Tony award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, debuted on Broadway in 2000, and after a Broadway run, the production spawned two U.S. national tours and a U.K. tour. Seussical™ weaves a story of friendship, loyalty and love, and teaches the power of being unique and the importance of fighting for one’s beliefs. Seussical™ has been specially adapted to an 80-minute show.

Seussical™ is presented through special arrangements with Music Theatre International.
