This presentation will begin by attempting to define medical physics and cast light on career prospects as well as the current state of the profession. I will cover questions such as what technologies does a medical physicist work with? What areas of research are medical physicists involved in? And finally, as an example, what research have I been involved in as a clinical medical physicist? This talk should be of interest to prospective students and those who are merely curious about this rapidly evolving field.
