Kishor T. Kapale, with the Department of Physics at Western Illinois University, will give a basic introduction to the paradigms of quantum information processing without assuming any knowledge of the subject and will discuss strategies for realistic physical implementations of quantum information processing tasks. Kapale will also mention some of his research in the quantum information field and related areas.
