Jagwa Music at the Millennium Stage

Wednesday, September 28, 2016 | 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.

John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts
2700 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20566

Join the Mid-Atlantic Alumni Chapter at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage for Jagwa Music. From the streets of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Jagwa Music brings on a high-powered celebration with the interlocking rumble of drums, hacked mini casio keyboards, and hotwired megaphones grounding spitfire vocals. Jagwa Music is touring the U.S. as part of Center Stage, a program of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the New England Foundation for the Arts. Meet us at JFK’s Bust in the Grand Foyer (closest to the Potomac River) at 5:30 p.m.

This event is FREE, though seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Directions: MetroRail: The Foggy Bottom/George Washington University Station (on the Orange, Blue, and Silver lines, at 23rd and I Streets, NW), is the stop closest to the Kennedy Center.
