English and Linguistics Alumna Career Talk: Allison Coffelt

Distinguished alumna Allison Coffelt will give the keynote talk of the English and Linguistics Senior Seminar Conference. Author of the forthcoming book of creative nonfiction, “Trapped Heat: Mediations on Haiti,” Allison will give a career talk on travel, writing, and professional development.

Allison’s creative nonfiction has appeared in the Los Angeles Review, Oxford Public Health Magazine, and Crab Orchard Review, among other periodicals. She has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Missouri, and a BA in English and Political Science from Truman State University. She works for the True/False nonfiction film festival in Columbia, MO, as the Education and Outreach Director.
