Visiting artist Rafael E. Vera teaches at Loyola University Chicago, and creates work that is installation-based as well as two and three-dimensional. He is collaborating with Assistant Professor of Music Victor Marquez-Barrios on the exhibition Closed Eyes Gaze to be presented in the University Art Gallery March 21-April 22. In Closed Eyes Gaze, Vera and composer Marquez-Barrios present sculptures, chamber works, drawings, and musical scores created as a result of years exploring different avenues for collaboration. Vera will serve as the guest juror of this year’s Annual Juried Student Exhibition at Truman.
