Jean Kaul (’09)
A 2009 Truman State graduate (B.A. in English, Minor in East Asian Studies), Jean Kaul is proof of just how marketable a liberal arts degree can be (well, at least that’s what she likes to tell herself!). Since 2010, Kaul has been based in Pella, Iowa, and has worked for Vermeer Corporation, a world-class agricultural and construction equipment manufacturer, serving most recently as Marketing Specialist for the company’s underground construction business. Little did she know that a Concentration in British Literature would help her write poetically about big yellow construction equipment, but the path on which life takes you cannot always be predicted.
Kaul is also passionate about giving back to the University through involvement in the Iowa Alumni Chapter, helping with communications and planning fun events to connect local alums. Kaul is looking forward to serving on the Chapter Development committee and helping generate the next big ideas to drive chapter growth.
