Donna (Tague) Bailey (’76, ’84)
Donna (Tague) Bailey grew up in Gorin, Mo., and followed her sister to Truman State University. She received a Bachelor of Science Education in mathematics in 1976, graduating summa cum laude and as valedictorian of her class. In 1984, she earned a Master of Arts in mathematics.
Bailey taught secondary mathematics in Memphis, Mo., for six years before joining the faculty at Truman State University in 1983 to teach calculus and pre-calculus. She retired from Truman in 2009 as emerita instructor in mathematics.
A member of the Northeast Missouri Alumni Chapter, Bailey serves as the chapter’s treasurer, and helps plan and organize events. She is also a member of two of the University’s giving clubs, the Kirk Society and the Pershing Circle. In 2009, Donna and her late husband, Wayne Bailey (’75), professor emeritus of computer science at Truman, established the Dr. Wayne P. & Donna J. Bailey Scholarship to benefit Truman students majoring in computer science or mathematics.
Bailey resides in Kirksville, Mo.; she has a son, Brennan.
