Public university in the Midwest for 18 years running (U.S. News & World Report)
Truman's student housing provides safe, comfortable, and intellectually engaging living communities with the benefits of living on campus. We have seven coed residence halls and four apartment complexes.
Live where the action is by making one of our residence halls your home. With several options to choose from, you can select the style of living that works best for you.
- Community-style: Residents within a specific hallway share a community bathroom. Community-style housing is offered in Missouri Hall, Dobson Hall, and the 3rd floor of Grim Hall.
- Suite-style: Residents share a bathroom with their suite-mates. This style of housing is offered in Blanton-Nason-Brewer Hall, Centennial Hall, Grim Hall, Grim Hall, and Ryle Hall.
- Suite-style with a common area: A suite consists of a fully furnished common area, with two separate bedrooms and a bathroom. This option is available in West Campus Suites.
Students who live in one of the University's apartment complexes—Campbell Apartments, Fair Apartments, Patterson House, and Randolph Apartments—enjoy the comforts, community, and security of living on campus. The campus apartments are currently limited to returning upperclassman (exceptions include Transfer and International students).
